A crawler crane on a low-loader does not fail on paper. It fails at a bridge, on a route that was signed off three weeks earlier. Travel height is the constraint, and travel height starts at the tyre.
HBI Tyres & Wheels developed the CP60, launched as CargoPlus 60, for exactly that constraint: an ultra-low tyre of 713 mm diameter that still carries 10,000 kg per axle at 80 km/h. A lower deck without giving up payload. For the haulier that means more clearance above the load, fewer rejected routes and fewer detour kilometres. It is a tyre, and it comes with the rim specification to match, because at these loads the rim is not an afterthought. Engineered for performance, built for reliability.
Why every centimetre of load height counts

Anyone who moves heavy machinery knows the problem. A crawler crane, excavator or mobile crusher on a low-loader quickly runs up against the maximum permitted travel height. Everyone has seen the videos of loads that almost clear a bridge. Daily reality is less spectacular, but at least as expensive. Routes get rejected at the planning stage, permits take time, and detour kilometres cut straight into the margin and the schedule.
Deck height is partly determined by tyre diameter. Every millimetre saved on the tyre is a millimetre of extra clearance above the load, and one more route that fits within the height limit. At the same time, load capacity cannot be the trade-off: a low-loader carrying a 40-tonne machine needs a tyre that handles that weight day after day, at motorway speed. Exactly that combination, build low and carry heavy, has been the bottleneck until now.
CP60: ultra low tyre for low-loader transport
HBI Tyres & Wheels developed the CP60 as a direct answer to that set of requirements. It is an ultra low tyre for low-loader transport in size 215/60R17.5: a 713 mm diameter tyre that carries 10,000 kg per axle at 80 km/h, based on four wheels. That makes the CP60 a genuine 10 ton axle load tyre for low-loader configurations, with a speed rating up to 100 km/h.
The new tubeless construction, a tread depth of 12.2 mm and an inflation pressure of 10 bar are designed for intensive commercial use. As a 215/60R17.5 low-loader tyre, the CP60 fits a 6.00 x 17.5 inch rim with 6, 8 or 10 holes, matching common low-loader axle configurations. The result for the haulier: fewer detours, fewer kilometres and a lower cost per transport, without giving up load capacity or speed.

Load capacity by speed
In heavy and abnormal transport, the maximum axle load at 80 km/h is only part of the picture. Just as relevant is what the tyre carries at lower speeds, while manoeuvring on site, or during escorted transport under a speed restriction. The table below shows the load capacity per tyre in kilograms, for single and dual fitment.
| km/h | 0 | 1 | 5 | 10 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 40 | 50 | 60 | 80 | 100 |
